Hi there! Welcome to my Author Editing Services landing page. My education includes a major in creative writing and a minor in professional writing and rhetoric. I have external experience in contract writing and review, beta reading, tutoring essay writing, manuscript editing, and literary magazine editing.
While the credentials of qualification are important and cool, my real reason for helping you is that I love fiction. I love living in the world of character arcs, plot structures, and nitty gritty grammar details. Above all, I love discovering worlds created by new writer friends (indie or otherwise) and helping them develop their vision to its fullest potential.
Developmental Editing
The development of a plot line is crucial to navigating your story’s arc for both the external plot (action packed adventure) and internal plot (character growth). This is where my heart and soul of editing lies. I will happily offer in line comments in a Google Doc format for the most up to date feedback to guide your story building thoughts into one cohesive narrative unit. This can continue for up to two rounds.

Copy/Line Edit
I also offer line edit comments where we look at the lyricism and structure of your individual sentences, making sure your story is music to your reader’s ears (or… eyes). I will pay close attention to details such as: formatting dialogue correctly, replacing passive voice with active voice, show don’t tell, word choice suggestions, and editing for concision to name a few. This can continue for up to two rounds.

Often times, I get carried away and end up commenting a hybrid structure of both developmental and line editing notes. Because I am invested in polishing your story to the fullest potential, I offer a package pricing that includes both services. This package can continue for up to three rounds.

Single Read Through with Comments
If you are unsure of which direction you want your professional editing adventures to take you, this service might be a good starting place. Here, I do a single read through of your manuscript, leaving comments from a writer’s perspective and questions from a reader’s perspective. If, after the single read you wish to explore a further development or line editing service, the initial payment for the single read can be applied to the next bill.
